Abstract

Proposed by Tahir-Kheli to Condoleezza Rice and Laura Bush, this public–private partnership builds the first pediatric cancer hospital in war-torn Iraq. Despite reflecting the core generosity of the vision and its small cost compared to the hundreds of billions of US dollars going to Iraq, the children’s hospital deals with bureaucratic hurdles and challenges.
