Abstract
Manipur is a state in the south-east corner of the North-Eastern Region of the Indian mainland which is stretched between 23.80° to 25.68° north latitude and 93.03° to 94.78° east longitude and covers a total geographical area of 22,327 sq. km, which comprises 8.52% of the total area of the north-east and 0.67% of Indian landmass.
