Hull Form Optimization Based on the CFD Technique

Abstract

Based on the RANS solver, the aim of this section is to present several ship hull form optimization loops in the calm water and in waves. Taking the DTMB5415 and Wigley III ships as examples, the total resistance of a ship in calm water or in waves is regarded as the objective function.
