Abstract
Protein-protein interaction (PPI) is an important biological phenomenon. Therefore, it is of interest to study PPI. The importance is PPI in hetero multimer protein complexes is of significance. There are 384 high-resolution (<3 Å) non-redundant (at 30% sequence similarity cutoff) known hetero multimer (of forms ABC, A2B, ABCD, A2B2, A2B2C2, A3B3) structural protein complexes at the protein data bank increasing gradually providing valuable insights to complex biological events. We provide an account of known hetero multimer protein complex structures in this chapter. A comprehensive analysis of these complexes will provide valuable insights to the understanding intricate issues in multi subunit protein complex assemblies.
