Abstract
China claims that the Belt and Road initiative is “a great undertaking that will benefit people around the world.” Recognition of the initiative as a consensus among the relevant countries largely determines its future implementation. How to communicate effectively and efficiently with the dozens of relevant countries, who are diversified in culture, political system , and social condition, is an important but underexplored issue. In this sense, it is of great significance to understand the different influences on public opinion and media reporting in the relevant countries and the effect they have on the national image of other countries in this information age.
