Abstract

China, which although has slowed down its economic growth rate over the past 5 years, has actually been zipping along its way to modernization since 1978 when it commenced the policy of reform and opening-up to the outside world. Its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased, on the average, by approximately 10% annually.
