Abstract
The multi-dimensional images of the target most directly and accurately reflect the characteristics of the target. Based on the multi-dimensional images, many characteristics of the target can be obtained such as the outline, shape, spatial distribution, structure, size, and fluctuation. In addition, the higher the precision of the images, the more accurate the characteristics are. Thus, after obtaining the multi-element detection data and the platform data, comprehensively processing these data so as to generate the multi-dimensional images of the target is of great significance in the target detection based on a laser imaging system. These data include the laser echoes reflected from the target, the sampled echo waveform, time delay, gray, multi-level relations in vertical direction, GPS and IMU data, etc. Aiming at the generation of multi-dimensional images, this chapter mainly discusses the methods for generating special images for target detection such as the range, gray, waveform and hierarchy images of the target through processing detection data.
