Abstract

This chapter provides the conclusion of the book, summarizing some core arguments that while freedom of religion was enshrined in all of Indonesia’s constitutions at the same time it serves as the justification for the government having wide-ranging discretionary powers to regulate religion and, in certain circumstances, to limit religious freedom.
