Abstract

Cloud Manufacturing allows geographically separated factories to cooperate for finishing one manufacturing task with less time, less cost, higher quality. The key issue is to achieve the optimal combination of manufacturing resources in cloud. In this paper, the constraint characteristics among manufacturing resources in cloud environment are analyzed, involving the attributes of manufacturing resources and constraints relationship among them. Based on Rough Set theory, an optimal selection method for manufacturing resources in the cloud manufacturing environment is proposed, along with its implementation framework and processing approach. A case study is demonstrated and discussed to validate the proposed method.
