Abstract
The metal is much more than the water for the heavy reflector. More heat will generate due to gamma irradiation, and creep failure may occur. Temperature should be calculated. ANSYS can be used for two-dimensional analysis to calculate the temperature distribution of the heavy reflector. The sensitivity of the mesh can be analyzed, and the factors affecting the temperature can be evaluated. The maximum temperature of the heavy reflector is less than 350 °C from analysis results, which can satisfy the material requirements.
