Abstract

The uniqueness of fingerprint provides a secured personal identification mark. Contact less acquisition of fingerprints is gaining popularity due to the ease in capturing the image. They can be easily blurred with noise and distortion. This paper defines filtering techniques in removal of noise and distortion from the blurred images. The paper highlights double enhancing method for image clarity and extraction of true minutiae points which are tabulated and analyzed.
