Abstract
Based on the preliminary understanding of three dynamic concepts—social exclusion, social inclusion and social entrepreneurship—Chapter 1 constructs an overall research base for the book. It is arguedthat social entrepreneurship works as an antidote to curb the practices of social exclusion. The review carried out helps readers to understand why we need innovative service delivery as opposed to the traditional means of service delivery. In addition, an intensive debate on the process ofsocial transformation at the grassroots level that could trigger positive social change is introduced here and developed in the following chapter.
