Abstract

After the establishment of the Republic of China, China was ruled by the Beijing Government for about thirty seven years and then was ruled successively by the Nanjing National Government, which was overthrown by the new democratic revolution and was eventually replaced by the People’s Republic of China. Since then, the third historical stage of the modernization of the Chinese legal system has started.
