Abstract

Sui Dynasty was a famous but a short-lived state in ancient China. The role of the legal system of Sui Dynasty was very important because it had formed a connection between the legal systems of the preceding and the later dynasties, so it had continued the legal systems of Wei and Jin dynasties and initiated those of Tang and Song dynasties.
