Abstract
the part marrano poet from lisbon is right. but the old bard from london was only partially right: to-be is not only a question we ask, it is a deed we do. if being is a deed we do, we are always doing that deed, but in different ways, and those differences are not only meaningful, but essential. we know we can say thou to life. therefore, it is the way we actualize being that determines the meaning of our lives.
