Abstract

In the three years of our public practice, Hill L. Waters (HLW) has put on workshops celebrating Black girls, living in/theorizing from the body, and creating community accountable partnerships; given lectures on social justice as well as social identities and student self-awareness; and written, performed, and directed plays which highlight: Black love; race, gender & sexuality as interwoven systems of oppressions; and healing.
