Swirling Shades of Right and Wrong
We were sitting side-by-side on her porch swing, our feet moving heel-to-toe, heel-to-toe, heel-to-toe in comfortable unison. Our children, seven months apart in their third year, quietly stacked interconnecting reds and blues and greens higher and higher against the white-washed porch. We spent many hours here, the four of us, our husbands away at work, our nearest neighbors a quarter mile in the distance.
