Abstract

The Eastern community has a rule that man has a monopoly on all authority and power. He is a master and the woman is a slave to her master. The woman must surrender and be weak. The man says: “I am the wage-earner and the provider. I have the money so you can eat, clothe, and house yourself. You will secure the essential needs of life by obedience. If you aren’t obedient, you will be hungry and naked”. Therefore, the woman will accept his demands because without him she will be prey to predatory human nature.
