Abstract
In this chapter, students focus on the big idea of “Plants & Animals.” In the first set of STEPS, teachers facilitate activities about pollination, the behavior of mealworms, and veins in a leaf. Students solve the problem: What methods and materials can be used to make a collection of leaf vein prints from trees surrounding the school and/or your home?
