Abstract

Professional development occurs on social media sites such as Twitter in a wide variety of ways. Educators at all levels connect online with others in their field (Carpenter & Krutka, 2014; McCarroll & Curran, 2013; Warlick, 2009). In these online settings, educators share resources and participate in education chats with goals such as “combating isolation and finding community” (Carpenter & Krutka, 2014, p. 428).
