Abstract
Throughout this text we have encountered injury and disability in various guises. These ranged from burn injuries right through to substance abuse. The outcomes of a personal injury, however, are dependent upon a range of bio-and psycho-social factors. This final chapter seeks to bring together some over-arching ideas. A starting point is the medical background for the different conditions.
