Abstract
As the call to enter rang out across the Marae, I could barely hold my composure. The Kaikaranga, the caller, was a Māori woman, a community elder, dressed in a long black skirt, her hair tied at the back of her head and adorned with feathers. Her calling vibration beckoned us closer, calling for us to enter.
