Abstract
Africa is a continent that is very rich in history and cultural traditions. Within its traditional societies, education is aimed at the socialization of the younger generation into the accepted norms and behavioral standards of the community. It has also sought to acculturate them by absorbing specific cultural patterns and, hence, acquiring a particular identity and perception of the world.
