Abstract

As we saw in the first part of this book, the United Nations is working with leaders on the world stage to address education and literacy issues, particularly in places that have been disrupted by global issues of debt, economic stagnation and decline, the trauma of war, occupation, or civil strife. Taking on all of these factors is clearly beyond the scope of this book.
