Abstract
I met Kellen when I was in doctoral school and I noticed her small, delicate frame and charming demeanor. I also noticed that she is not a weak or a passive person; she is fiery. A full-blooded Cherokee, Kellen feels a strong connection to her heritage. She has learned that the Cherokee have always been lied to by the American government.
