Abstract
Aesthetic and non-aesthetic qualities, properties, concepts, features and actions are some of the customary ways a student is taught art. For an example of a non-aesthetic quality that is referring to an art work’s appearance, we might add an adverb to our comment like: ‘the student lightly shaded in the object’. Hence, the object was not just shaded, it was lightly shaded, and that is telling us a little bit more about the object.
