Sideline Two – Performativity as Analysis

Abstract

Another lens that we can deploy to analyze a narrative is the theoretical notion of performativity. Riessman (2008) has an interest in narratives as a type of research data and in Narrative Methods for the Human Sciences she explains how they might be analyzed. She outlines a number of different methods that can be used for this purpose.
