Abstract

Participatory Research (hereafter PR) could be considered as a matter of faith in the sense that Gramsci (1974) mentioned, i.e. a set of beliefs that someone, a small group or a multitude of people have and maintain on an issue. Therefore, one of the elements that I put into play to discuss PR is the belief that knowledge can be built collectively, and that this knowledge collectively produced transforms people’s environment.
