Abstract
As a Member State of the European Community, the Government of Austria will implement the provisions of the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, in accordance with its obligations arising from the rules of the Treaties establishing the European Communities to the extent that such rules are applicable.
This compilation was made based upon the notifications issued by the Secretary-General of the United Nations in his capacity as Depositary of the Chemical Weapons Convention as of July 2014. Unless otherwise indicated, the declarations were made on ratification, acceptance, accession or succession.
Article XXII of the Convention provides as follows:
Article XXII. Reservations
The Articles of this Convention shall not be subject to reservations. The Annexes of this Convention shall not be subject to reservations incompatible with its object and purpose.
