Abstract

In his opening lecture of the 2011 CARN conference in Vienna, Ingo Eilks introduced participatory action research (PAR) as a systemic framework ideally suited for practice improvement and curriculum development in schools on the one hand and didactic research in science education on the other (Eilks, 2011; see also Eilks & Ralle, 2002).
