Abstract

In this chapter, I will explore participants’ academic-related experiences in the English Higher Education (HE) sector, both as ‘disabled’ and ‘international’ students. First, the links between participants’ previous studies (in their home countries) with those in the United Kingdom (UK) will be examined. Participants’ accounts of the language courses they attended prior to starting their academic courses in the English universities will be assessed.
