Abstract
I think it is important to note that both of my parents were teachers. My dad was an elementary school principal and my mom was an elementary school teacher. They taught for about 15 years before I ever came along. I was adopted in 1969. So I was heavily influenced by the work that my parents did. I heard talk about teaching every night at supper. I was raised in an environment where school was very important. Growing up I had been exposed to an educator lens.
