Abstract

Clearly, the ability to learn a language is part of our biological evolution, but, as I have argued, once a language is learned, humans move beyond biology into a state of being no longer fully encompassed by scientific laws. The singular fact about humans is that we can call ourselves humans. We live alone in this calling, and this calling is not directly attributable to biology.
