Abstract

Over time, communities have changed significantly, along with the role of grandparents. Rural communities, especially those in Newfoundland, have experienced a substantial shift demographically, socially and economically. The prevalence of these paradigm shifts have created increased roles for grandparents who reside in rural communities (Bullock, 2005).
