Part of the book series: Studies in Inclusive Education ((STUIE,volume 20))

Abstract

This book aims to deconstruct some of the problems around disciplinary practise in schools and to offer both local and systemic solutions. It is based on an ethnography addressing the causes of permanent exclusion from school (what used to be called ‘being expelled’), and its impacts as a disciplinary option.
