Abstract

Intuition is an ancient mode of deriving knowledge that many Westerners feel has all but disappeared within most present-day humans, but there are still many instances of intuitive practices by indigenous people throughout the world. One such occurrence was demonstrated during the December 2004 Asian tsunami that devastated much of the shoreline bordering the Indian Ocean resulting in the loss of more than 200,000 lives.
