Abstract
This chapter outlines a representation of Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) for the topic Chemical Reactions. However, one important difference in this chapter compared with that of the topics of Particle Theory (Chapter 4), Circulatory System (Chapter 6), and Electric Circuits (Chapter 8) is that we offer two CoRes as opposed to the single CoRe approach of the other topics. The reason for the production of two CoRes in this chapter is a result of our work with science teachers whereby we found that two different approaches to the construction of a CoRe for Chemical Reactions. Therefore, the format for this chapter is a little different to that of the other topics, as it includes the first CoRe followed by the PaP-eRs attached to the first CoRe, then the second CoRe, with a brief introduction highlighting its conceptual basis.
