Life at The Margin of Possiblity
I have crafted a life of scholarly work that has taken form and shape in the small spaces of everyday life where people get a sense of who they are, what they hope to become, and what might be available for them in life. “There is no “plotted narrative here-- -not a linear story that shows “how one thing led to another and those to a third and then and then and then¨·.” 1 This chronicle of my life is a “show and tell” of particular “events, encounters, and chance discoveries.” It arrays “¨·a variety of facts and battery of interpretations” 2 that tells something about living in history and discovering how history lives. Mostly it is about learning along the way.
