Abstract
The period since 1990 has been momentous in the life of ALP. In the years since the first publication of Living Adult Education: Freire in Scotland (Kirkwood and Kirkwood 1989), ALP has continued to develop a broad curriculum of cultural studies and action based on the ideas and practices of Paulo Freire.
