Abstract
Thank you very much. It’s lovely to be back in Japan. I was first here nearly 20 years ago, and I have spent a lot of time working and understanding Japanese events. One of the reasons it’s been easy is that so many Japanese students have come to spend time with me in England, or when I was working in America. Ken was with me for 2 years in England and managed to produce a baby while he was there. And Hiro came from Hiroshima and Professor Tanaka, so I have very close links with Japan and I value them enormously.
