Abstract
I come back to the objectives of this book. I have tried to assess the multi-facetted interactions of animal populations and their habitats combining autecological, synecological, population-ecological and landscape ecological aspects. In the last chapters, a few practical implications for landscape management and nature conservation have been considered as well as possible responses to climate change.
