Abstract

King Aṅliṅ Darma of Mĕlawapati has recently married Sĕtyawati, the daughter of Bagawan Maniksutra who lives on Mount Rasamala. She refuses to have anything to do with her husband and rejects all his attempts to approach her. The king is therefore subject to deep depression and decides to go and amuse himself in his pleasure garden Bagenḍa by way of distraction. His patih Baṭik Madrim accompanies him there.
