Abstract
The radiomorphological features described and analysed in the foregoing contribute to the differential diagnosis of haemophilic arthropathy. However, the general rule that all the X-ray signs may indicate several different pathological processes must be taken into account. Therefore, we stress that in spite of the detailed knowledge of X-ray morphology, X-ray pictures are always to be evaluated as part of the clinical picture and should be fitted into it, together with the physical and laboratory findings. Simultaneously, we wish to draw attention to some fundamental X-ray differential diagnostic problems, particularly as it may happen in spite of organizational efforts that it is the radiologist who first sees the patient, and he may have to decide on further examinations.
