Abstract
As Editor of these proceedings I cannot resist the temptation to comment on some of the more controversial topics discussed. Predominant were — how could it be otherwise — questions related to rabies control, i.e. on methods of estimating fox population density, of reducing fox densities by increased hunting pressure, and above all, fox den gassing.
