Abstract

No one realizes more than company lawyers how drastically the legal expenses of the company are rising. Not only are the rates of outside counsel going up from time to time as clerical and secretarial salaries, rents, supplies and other expenses increase, but the same is occuring in costs of travel, telephone charges and other items comprising disbursements on behalf of the company. At the same time new legislation and regulations are requiring companies, especially those which are regulated in more than one area or country, to utilize legal services more than ever. Other company expenses are also going up at a very rapid rate.
