Abstract

In considering the developments of the studies on blood groups in cattle we can conclude that the number of references to the publications, presented on this subject before 1940, is increasing gradually. Without disregarding the value of these reports, we may state here that the fundamental work which has been developed in this field in the Department of Genetics at the University of Wisconsin is to be considered as the basis for blood grouping work in cattle, as this is performed now in a large number of laboratories all over the world.
