On The Scientific Status of Medical Research: Case Study and Interpretation According to Ludwik Fleck

  • Chapter
Science, Technology, and the Art of Medicine

Part of the book series: Philosophy and Medicine ((PHME,volume 44))

Abstract

This essay devotes itself exclusively to the presentation and analysis of Ludwik Fleck’s Genesis and Development of a Scientific Fact [4]. Although this work has been given little recognition, Fleck’s work has significantly influenced discussions in the philosophy of science over the past two decades. Such influence is evident, for example, in the writings of Thomas S. Kuhn ([9], [10]).1
