Abstract
This book has presented an approach to classification and explanation in weak-theory domains—typified by legal analysis—under which rules and precedents are viewed as mutually supporting warrants. Under this approach, precedents can compensate for inadequate reduction rules, while rules can improve matching through case elaboration and goal reformulation.
