Mechanical and Structural Properties of Polydiacetylenes

  • Chapter

Part of the book series: NATO ASI Series ((NSSE,volume 102))

Abstract

The relationship between structure and mechanical properties in polydiacetylene single crystals has been reviewed. It is demonstrated that the ability to produce the crystals with a high degree of perfection has allowed a detailed correlation to be made between their structure and mechanical behaviour.
