Optical Properties of Polyacetylene

  • Chapter
Polydiacetylenes

Part of the book series: NATO ASI Series ((NSSE,volume 102))

Abstract

Resonant Raman Scattering properties of cis and trans poly-acetylene are studied in the framework of the tight binding approximation. The Raman spectra and the Raman Excitation Profiles are reported for both the isomers and the different results are discuss ed on the basis of the models.
